Digital Innovation Advisory Group


At this unique moment in the history of the University of Michigan, as we prepare for a third century and lead a global discussion to affirm the critical role of public research universities, we have created a standing advisory committee to provide guidance. The Digital Innovation Advisory Group (DIAG) is tasked with:

  • Providing proactive assessment of opportunities posed by changes to our digital educational ecosystem
  • Demonstrating leadership in knowledge sharing across U-M as we catalogue, showcase and apply lessons from innovative experimentation
  • Reviewing, surfacing and developing new strategic, programmatic and operational digital educational initiatives
  • Participating in U-M activities designed to advance the institution’s digital education strategy
  • Ensuring regular and widespread engagement of faculty, staff and students
  • Mining internal innovation, peer institution innovation and competitive forces to proactively surface and address opportunities and corresponding challenges
  • Coordinating with DIAG subcommittees to ensure timely evaluation of strategic, programmatic and operational considerations
  • Aligning with supporting activities
