Join us on Wednesday, May 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at North Quad Space 2435 for a First Year ECoach Feedback Session.
The Digital Innovation Greenhouse (DIG) in the Office of Academic Innovation is looking for feedback on its First Year ECoach. For those not familiar with it, ECoach sends personalized messages to students based on a number of factors and data streams to provide tailored assistance, and motivate behavior. It is particularly useful for large groups of students where supplying specific information and feedback based on each’s motivations, behaviors, etc. would otherwise be hard.
Currently ECoach is used in a number of U-M courses (Eng 101, Chem 130, Stats 250, etc.) in addition to functioning as a first year coach for students transitioning to U-M.
We are looking for feedback on first year students and the potential ways faculty may use a first year ECoach to reach them. Please join us for one of two sessions to explore the first year experience, learn about ECoach, and brainstorm how to strengthen our first year ECoach. We invite anyone who regularly works with first year students to attend one of these sessions.
We look forward to spending time with you and getting your feedback on how to make our first year ECoach a very useful tool for our first year Michigan students, and for the staff and faculty who work with them.
Lunch will be served.
