Join us on Friday, April 7 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Office of Academic Innovation space in the Hatcher Graduate Library (8th floor of Hatcher South) for Innovation Hour, a gathering hosted by our office two times per month featuring a different theme each session.
During this Innovation Hour, we invite all who work with or are interested in augmented reality (AR) and/or virtual reality (VR) in educational contexts to join us for a conversation on the benefits and challenges of this mode of learning.
What pedagogical goals could AR/VR tools help achieve? What skills might such tools build? Have you discovered any best practices in the development and implementation of AR/VR tools for the classroom? What are potential challenges or issues when using AR/VR tools to support learning? We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Academic Innovation welcomes faculty, students and staff to stop by for our unstructured “drop-in” time. Come discuss ideas, share experiences, have questions answered and/or meet members of the Academic Innovation team.
We also invite you to share your vision for the ideal academic community by contributing an experience, idea or recommendation to the Ideas2017 Challenge during the Innovation Hour.
