Join us on Monday, June 5 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Office of Academic Innovation space in the Hatcher Graduate Library (8th floor of Hatcher South) for Innovation in Humanities Education.
An open, informal conversation for instructors and staff in the humanities to discuss the innovative approaches, tools, and modalities they use in their teaching and interactions with students. Share your experiences of breaking away from traditional models and engage with colleagues about further possibilities for innovation in humanities education.
How can we leverage networked access to information, new modes of learning and the power of data analytics to innovate inside and outside the humanities classroom? How might humanists contribute to contemporary conversations about new ways of conceiving of the university and its relationship to broader society? What is the role of the humanities as higher education continues to evolve in an information age? We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
