Those who successfully complete the MicroMasters and are admitted to the School of Education can also be granted advanced standing that will reduce the credit-hour requirements for a master’s degree specializing in such areas as Educational Leadership and Policy, Teaching and Learning, New Media and Literacy, or Urban Pedagogy.
There are no formal prerequisites. However, it is extremely helpful to have a working knowledge of schools and education systems as well as the political, policy and public pressures to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for all students.
The verified certificates for LeadEd501x, LeadEd502x, LeadEd503x and LeadEd504x each cost $199. The capstone, LeadEd505x, costs $249. This adds up to a total cost of $1045 (untaxed) for the MicroMasters credential.
A verified certificate will be received for each course you complete in a MicroMasters if you are signed up as a verified student. After completing all courses and a final exam/capstone, you will receive the MicroMasters credential.
