Dr. Paula Caproni developed The Science of Success: What Researchers Know That You Should Know MOOC to provide a research-based framework for learners to achieve personal and professional success. Throughout the course participants will explore a research-based framework for the characteristics of success, and how these characteristics can increase one’s own success in life. Course participants will also learn how to clearly articulate a personal definition of success and how to then describe an achievable, personal action plan. The Science of Success will harness the strength behind U-M’s interdisciplinary collaboration by featuring guest speakers from diverse fields, including Scott Page, Professor of Complex Systems, Political Science and Economics , Vic Strecher, Professor of Health Behavior and Health Education, and Richard Nisbett, Theodore M. Newcomb Distinguished University Professor of Psychology, Professor of Psychology, and Research Professor. This teaching model will take complex, research-driven, scientific knowledge taught at Michigan Ross and turn it into practical advice and examples that will be meaningful to a broad, diverse and global audience to better achieve their personal goals while making a significant contribution to others, their organizations and their communities.
