Innovation Advocacy Lead

Role: Amy stewards faculty engagement with the Office of Academic Innovation. She consults with faculty and staff to ensure broad participation in and adoption of the Office of Academic Innovation portfolio of online learning experiences and digital education technology. Amy leads the Office of Academic Innovation advocacy efforts including communicating with various university stakeholders about the Office of Academic Innovation products, tools, and services.  She manages communities of practice focused on digitally mediated pedagogy. Amy helps tell faculty innovator stories. She hosts a podcast series called Origin Stories, where she discusses with U-M faculty their teaching and learning innovations.

Experience: Before her position in the Office of Academic Innovation, Amy worked throughout the University of Michigan including in the Alumni Association, Student Life, College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) and the College of Engineering with increasing responsibility for launching or shepherding new education and career initiatives at scale in her various roles. Amy was also an Adjunct Faculty in LSA, and is currently an Adjunct Faculty at Eastern Michigan University where she teaches graduate students. Amy is a certified MBTI practitioner, StrengthsQuest Educator and is trained in Motivational Interviewing.
