Design Manager

Role: Design Managers facilitate the work of the Office of Academic Innovation through project management and communication while developing collaborative relationships and new models for teaching and learning in the digital space. As a Design Manager, Keesa hears the needs and challenges of different actors on a project and realizes a complete design that satisfies those needs through creative collaboration within Academic Innovation and with its partners.

Experience: Prior to Academic Innovation, Keesa has worked in various industries at the forefront of innovation within aerospace, technology and education. Whether as a project engineer or creative manager, creating and designing has always been the focus of her mindset. Her most recent experience was as a learning designer at Michigan State University where she co-created immersive online learning courses, certificates and master level online programs. Her collaborative projects have won various awards in innovation, instructional technology, diversity and inclusion as well as American Advertising awards. Keesa’s goal in life is to nurture and cultivate creativity within community-driven learning from an inclusive design lens.
