Join us on Friday, January 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Digital Education & Innovation Lab (500 E. Washington) for Innovation Hour, a gathering at the Office of Academic Innovation hosted two times per month featuring a different theme each session. Academic Innovation welcomes faculty, students and staff to stop by, discuss ideas, share experiences, have your questions answered and meet members of the Academic Innovation team.
From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. during this Innovation Hour, members of the Exploring Innovation in the Residential Experience Design Group will convene an informal conversation on the theme of “Where Learning Happens.” The discussion will focus on student reflections about their nontraditional learning experiences and personal pathways through the university.
How and where do Michigan students learn? What learning happens outside of the classroom? Where does the most valuable learning take place? How do people leverage their college experiences to build careers or participate in other life activities? How can we more effectively support these unique, personalized learning experiences at Michigan? We look forward to hearing your thoughts!
Participants are encouraged to share their vision for the ideal academic community by contributing an experience, idea or recommendation to the Ideas2017 Challenge during the Innovation Hour.
