Event Details

All U-M students are encouraged to join us for an Atlas (formerly ART 2.0) Student Design Jam on Friday, November 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Hatcher Gallery (1st Floor) of the Hatcher Graduate Library. Student participants will be asked to work with other students to workshop and present their ideas about a new feature in Atlas, the schedule builder. Teams will be formed day of the event.

Atlas is a tool developed by the Center for Academic Innovation that displays historic data about U-M courses to guide U-M students, instructors, and staff in decision-making. Students may be familiar with ART 2.0, which has been rebranded as Atlas. This tool is used widely by U-M students during backpacking.  

 

Why should you participate in this design jam?

 

  • Gain experience working in a cross-discipline team which could be included on a resume or portfolio.
  • Help inform a feature that thousands of students will use.
  • A chance to network with other U-M students and Center for Academic Innovation staff.
  • Lunch and other refreshments will be provided throughout the day to fuel your creativity.
  • Promotional swag.
  • Prizes will be given to the winning team.
