Event Details

At the Center for Academic Innovation, we host a variety of different events with a wide range of guest speakers and formats to suit the needs of our various audiences. However, often times we like to amplify events around U-M’s campus and beyond from partners or colleagues that align with our mission. This event falls into that category and we hope to see you there!

STPP’s Technology Assessment Project (TAP) is a research-intensive think tank dedicated to anticipating the implications of emerging technologies and using these insights to develop better technology policies. TAP’s 2020 report, Cameras in the Classroom: Facial Recognition in Schools, provides a detailed analysis of the far-reaching implications of facial recognition technology in schools. Join the report’s authors to learn more about their recommendations, methods, and future plans.
