Event Details
Between January 12-13, 2017, a convening of multi-institutional innovation leaders met to participate in a community-driven design discussion on how to best advance research and design models in higher education to improve access, quality and equity in student learning. This two-day event built connectivity among people who are working to construct and run R&D models or are aspiring to do so in the near future.
The event involved a broad cross-section of higher education institutions and surfaced big ideas from innovators doing and supporting this work while establishing a knowledge base surrounding important elements to successful R&D models including structure and human capital, building a culture of experimentation, funding, accreditation, assessment, change management as well as forming and managing internal and external partnerships.
