Event Details

Join us on Friday, March 3 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the at the Digital Education & Innovation Lab (500 E. Washington) for Innovation Hour, a gathering hosted by the Office of Academic Innovation two times per month featuring a different theme each session.

During this Innovation Hour, faculty who use simulations as teaching tools will discuss the benefits and challenges of this mode of learning. Share your experiences from either facilitating or participating in simulation activities.

What kinds of simulations have you worked with in your classes? What are successes or areas for improvement from your experiences? What advantages do simulation activities offer to students? How might we scale some of the current experiments that are taking place? What are the barriers to implementing simulation activities in the classroom? We look forward to hearing your thoughts!

From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Academic Innovation welcomes faculty, students and staff to stop by for our unstructured “drop-in” time. Come discuss ideas, share experiences, have questions answered and/or meet members of the Academic Innovation team.

We also invite you to share your vision for the ideal academic community by contributing an experience, idea or recommendation to the Ideas2017 Challenge during the Innovation Hour.
