Michigan Online, powered by the Center for Academic Innovation, is thrilled to announce the launch of a new virtual faculty speaker series for 2021, the Michigan Online Visionary Educators (MOVE) Series. Michigan Online connects learners around the world to University of Michigan’s leading educators and innovators. Learners are highly engaged, passionate and always looking for new opportunities. The MOVE Series features faculty partners to bring learners unique online events that bring timely relevant topics that both faculty and our global learners are passionate about.

The MOVE Series kicked off in February 2021 and will continue on a monthly cadence. See below for details and to REGISTER. We hope to see you there!

Title: Accessibility in the Digital World

Featured Faculty:

Colleen van Lent, Lecturer IV, U-M School of Information
Kristin Fontichiaro, Clinical Associate Professor of Information, U-M School of Information

Bring your questions and join Colleen and Kristin for an interactive discussion about maximizing the accessibility of your digital activities and programs. We’ll build on the extraordinary pivot librarians and educators made to online spaces and use those discoveries to guide accessibility improvements across tools, including Google Drive to Facebook to videoconferencing.

The Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) is committed to ensuring that our meetings and events are accessible to all individuals. This event will be using Zoom. Please let us know how we can ensure that this event is inclusive to you. What accommodations or access needs can we help facilitate? Contact Trevor Parnell, Events and Marketing Specialist (tparn@umich.edu) with any questions or access needs.
