Dr. Michelle Smith will discuss “Using Classroom Data to Navigate from Vision to Change” in this brown bag lunch event. Smith is an associate professor in the School of Biology and Ecology at the University of Maine and is a member of the Maine Center for Research in STEM Education (RiSE Center).

This event is part of the “Foundational Courses in STEM; Lessons Learned, Future Directions: REBUILD Seminar Series.” REBUILD is an Inter-departmental committee of faculty members representing the LSA departments of AstronomyBiologyChemistryMath and Physics; the School of Education; and the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching. They are working to transform U-M into an environment that supports STEM faculty in improving recruitment, retention, and learning outcomes for all students by increasing the use of evidence-based teaching methods.
