Event Details

Are you interested in technology that can help you study more effectively? Join the Digital Innovation Greenhouse (DIG) and other students from around campus in a design jam where we’ll brainstorm new functionality for Problem Roulette (PR). Thousands of students on the U-M campus have used PR to prepare for their assessments in courses like Stats 250 and Chem 130. We’re redesigning the interface to make it easier to use and creating new functionality that will help students review class material in exciting new ways.

The Digital Innovation Greenhouse invites any student with interest or experience to participate. Design jams are a great opportunity to practice and learn new skills, network, and partner with your peers. Please register below to confirm your participation.

We welcome all U-M students to participate regardless of expertise. Anyone who is interested in improving the ways students can prepare for exams at U-M is encouraged to participate. We’ll split our participants into design groups during the event with the goal of partnering individuals with different skills and experiences. This should give each group a diverse perspective and allow you to create unique designs together.

Members of the DIG team will facilitate the Design Jam and will be available during the event to answer questions and offer guidance.

Once the DIG team introduces the design task, we’ll ask participants to split up into teams and start brainstorming solutions to the problem. We’d like each group to sketch out their ideas (either on whiteboards, paper, or in digital form) for about 90 minutes. Then we’ll reconvene and give each design team the opportunity to present their solution back to the larger group.

Dinner will be provided!
