Academic Innovation Virtual Event

Event Details

Welcome to the Vaccines and COVID-19 Teach-Out Expert Panel. Vaccination is one of the most successful public health interventions our world has ever seen. Since we started vaccinating more than 200 years ago, we have seen the elimination or control of diseases such as smallpox, polio, diphtheria, measles, and pertussis. Despite these successes, we are starting to see increased concern and hesitancy about vaccines. The Vaccines and COVID-19 Teach-Out was created to discuss these important topics and to provide updates on the current state of COVID-19 vaccines.

We’ve invited back several of our expert contributors to respond to your questions: Arnold Monto, MD, Professor of Epidemiology and Global Public Health at the University of Michigan School of Public Health; Emily Martin, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health; and Abram Wagner, PhD, MPH, Research Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. They will respond to questions collected from our Teach-Out learners and live from our global participants about the COVID-19 vaccines, vaccine hesitancy, communication, development and distribution processes, and more!
