TRUE Partnerships: Advancing Scholarship Through University-Community Collaboration
Public Engagement means many different things. This post explores research-practice partnerships as a vehicle for the University of Michigan to engage with its many publics. We propose the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Connected Learning Experiences (CIRCLE) as a vehicle to both foster research-practice collaborations and enhance multidisciplinary, problem-based research across campus. CIRCLE would also provide key coordination with research projects for students in the proposed Transforming Residential Undergraduate Education (TRUE) program (formerly known as “The Big Idea”) at Michigan.
