Annie Sadler

Design Manager

Why I choose to work at Academic Innovation:

I work at Academic Innovation because the Center has the potential to be the vanguard of imagining what the future of education can be when we center values of Equity, Inclusion, and Justice in that imagining.

Current Roles/Previous Experience:

Annie facilitates the design and development of learning initiatives in collaboration with faculty and many teams at the Center. She attempts to bring the values of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion into all parts of the development/design process.

Prior to joining Academic Innovation, Annie worked at Davidson College as the Digital Learning + Innovation Fellow. Her worked ranged from designing a sexual health course for all incoming first years to facilitating strategy sessions to advocating for student voice in institutional spaces. She has also led backpacking trips for high school students in Alaska/Sierra Nevadas/New Hampshire.

Annie is interested in how we design spaces – especially learning experiences. She firmly believe that by exploring new ways of learning, we can help create a more equitable and sustainable world. Annie enjoys exploring the intersections of education, public health, environmental justice, and design.
