DaJaniere Rice

Graphic Designer

Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I chose to work at Academic Innovation because I was interested in how my skillset, being a graphic designer, could contribute to AI’s longterm goal of creating a personalized, engaged, and lifelong education for everyone. I greatly appreciate their dedication to learning more about diversity, equity, and inclusion and thinking about D, E, & I when designing and conceptualizing new digital tools and initiatives. Since working here I’ve gained a lot of insight of the digital tools AI has helped develop as well as the amazing collaborative and fellowship opportunities that are available for faculty and students.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Prior to working at Academic Innovation, DaJaniere spent her time as a freelance designer and brand consultant helping entrepreneurs and small businesses develop visual identities and effective marketing strategies for their brand. Before that she was also a Media Specialist and Project Coordinator with the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Bowling Green State University, helping the department create events and workshops that celebrate diversity and increase student engagement and retention.

Ask Me to Learn About

As a hobby, I host and instruct paint parties! I believe that art is a great form of therapy for the mind and spirit and leading step-by-step art classes are a great way for me to help others heal, relax, and just simply have fun while doing something I love. I would also consider myself a branding unicorn and could tell you all things regarding logo design, conceptualization, brand vs. logo, brand tone, and more!
