Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I’m passionate about educational technologies and supporting an engaged, informed higher education community. My role with the Center for Academic Innovation connects me to diverse teams and schools of thought across the University and beyond and allows me to contribute to innovative and accessible educational opportunities.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

As Project Lead, Jessi manages day-to-day XR Initiative functions and works with faculty, CAI colleagues, and other stakeholders interior and external to U-M to develop solutions related to XR-enabled learning. Prior to joining the XR team, Jessi was a Senior Design Manager on the Online Learning Initiatives team. She utilized her expertise in project management and engaged her love of problem-solving to coordinate the efforts of content specialists and learning and design experts in the production of MOOCs, Teach-Outs, Collections, and short-form.

Prior to joining the Center for Academic Innovation, Jessi worked in research regulation and oversight at Tufts University and the University of Michigan. She facilitated compliance and minimized barriers to high-quality, ethical research through highly collaborative relationships with researchers and active participation and presentation at several national conferences.
