Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I chose to work at the Center for Academic Innovation because of the projects and people! I enjoy the opportunity for my work to have a real impact on learners and to do so with a team of people from so many different backgrounds.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Nick is a postdoctoral fellow working on the Assessment Toolkit Initiative. The Assessment Toolkit is dedicated to supporting campus stakeholders in effectively engaging with learning analytics data to create a more equitable and inclusive university.

Prior to joining the Academic Innovation team, Nick was a graduate student at Michigan State University in physics education research and computational mathematics, science, and engineering, studying the graduate admissions process in physics.

Nick has also been involved in various science communication projects and was a 2021 AAAS Mass Media Fellow.
