Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I chose to work at Academic Innovation because it combines my passions for teaching, development, and inquiry in an online educational setting that allows for more learners on campus and around the world.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

As a Learning Experience Designer (LXD) in the Center for Academic Innovation, Ruth strives to design online curriculum and engaging learning experiences with campus faculty.

Ruth is an experienced educator who taught high school students with disabilities for 8 years. She also coached middle school teachers in New York City on how to implement learning for all students with differentiation and engagement. Ruth believes storytelling, inquiry, and social-emotional learning are the key tenets for development and growth. She has worked leading freelance writing development for corporations such as GoDaddy and has facilitated workshops on focus, identity development, and other topics in education.
