Stephanie Haley

User Experience Research Lead

Why I choose to work at Academic Innovation:
I work at Academic Innovation because of the community of peers who I really enjoy working with, as well as the opportunities to learn and grow in User Experience Research and learning/educational technologies with those peers.
Current Roles/Previous Experience:
Before joining the Office of Academic Innovation, Stephanie was a human-centered design facilitator at Ford Motor Company where she led design thinking workshops for cross-functional, diverse teams. Previously, she had worked in a variety of user-centered roles, including as an Engagement and Iteration Manager at AI, a High-Tech Anthropologist at Menlo Innovations, and UX Design/Researcher at GE. Recently, Stephanie was the Communications Lead for the Michigan Chapter of User Experience Professionals Association from 2017-2019.

Prior to her work in user experience, Stephanie spent time researching fan communities in television, film, and popular culture, working as a sound designer for television commercials, and managing a women’s interest blog on popular culture.
