Data Management Student Fellow

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr and Master’s $20/hr
Job Duration: 10 – 15 hours for the fall 2023 term, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for:

The Research and Analytics (R&A) team is looking for a student to improve our self-service reporting to business and research stakeholders. This project will involve exploring, querying, and visualizing data primarily through the use of Tableau, but may involve python/R and SQL skills depending on the applicant and needs of the project.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s degree in data curation, data science, statistics, informatics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work independently or as part of a rapidly changing, multidisciplinary, multicultural, and collaborative environment.
• High level of attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with relational databases or complex datasets.
• Experience creating data visualizations for a non-statistical audience.
• Experience with Tableau, and familiarity with SQL and Python/R.
• Familiarity with data documentation.
