Media Asset Management Fellow

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr
Job Duration: 10-15 hours/week for 2024 fall semester, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who we’re looking for:

The Creative Studios team is looking for students to assist with Media Asset Management (MAM) projects, with a primary initial focus on a large project to reorganize and migrate CAI historical media assets into new permanent archives. This role reports directly to the Technical Innovation and Platforms Lead.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify, review, de-duplicate, organize, and verify media data and related files
  • Metadata creation and updating
  • Documentation, communication, and tracking resources
  • Creative use of Generative AI to improve project outcomes

Skills You’ll Gain:

Fellows will develop new or enhanced skills and knowledge in media asset management (MAM), media workflows, process and systems design and improvement, content recovery, enterprise level storage systems, and emerging technologies and practices related to asset storage and management. Students will also gain experience using GenAI to enhance and increase the effectiveness of systems, processes, and technologies related to media asset management.

Students will be provided opportunities to build, utilize, and expand upon problem solving skills, investigative skills, systems thinking, and solution-oriented research.
