Student Outreach & Engagement Fellow

Pay Rate: Undergraduate $17/hr, Master’s $20/hr, Doctoral $23/hr
Job Duration: 10-15 hours/week for the fall 2024 term, with the possibility of extending the fellowship

Who We’re Looking For:

The Operations Team is seeking a student to help coordinate engaging student programming and develop and maintain campus outreach strategies for CAI’s Student Fellowship Program (SFP). This role offers a rewarding learning experience and professional development opportunity for those interested in making a positive impact on both CAI and the broader campus community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate and co-lead student meetings, social events, and professional development programs with diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) considerations.
  • Assist in creating an inclusive and engaged student fellowship community for current and alumni students.
  • Attend, participate, and present at campus-wide events (e.g., career fairs, festifall, etc.) and student organization meetings.
  • Co-create and implement recruitment and outreach strategies to raise awareness of CAI’s student opportunities.
  • Evaluate the SFP activities, events, and recruitment strategies. 
  • Assist with the operational and administrative tasks for the SFP.

Student Qualifications:

  • Current U-M Student (undergraduate and graduate students)
  • Participated in a student and/or community organization 
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with students and other stakeholders
  • Effective communication, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and balance work on multiple projects
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a diverse and collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate a personal and professional commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
