Liz Hanley

Data Scientist Post Graduate Fellow

Role: Liz works closely with teams throughout Academic Innovation to provide support on a number of projects within the portfolio. As a data scientist, she is responsible for generating data-driven insights about both the University’s online course portfolio as well as Academic Innovation’s portfolio of online tools. Liz is particularly interested in data science communication, with a focus on making data accessible to people with varied levels of technical experience and interest.

Experience: Prior to joining Academic Innovation full-time, Liz completed her Master of Science in Information at the University of Michigan School of Information. As a Master’s student she was able to develop skills in areas including predictive modeling, data mining, natural language processing, and data visualization. Before completing her Master’s, Liz completed a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Kalamazoo College.
