Nathan Magyar

User Experience Designer

Role: Nathan is a User Experience Designer with the Office of Academic Innovation, specifically focused on projects pertaining to online learning and new residential learning tools. With strong skills in visual and interaction design, as well as a growing interest in front end development, Nathan collaborates with members across the Academic Innovation team to design and develop digital educational tools. He also contributes to the professional growth of Academic Innovation student fellows by coordinating and delivering biweekly design workshops.

Experience: Before coming to Academic Innovation as a full-time staff member, Nathan worked for a summer as an Academic Innovation student fellow on the user experience design team. Prior to that, he designed websites and print materials for the University of Michigan College of Engineering (2016-2017) and taught English in South Korea (2014-2015). The combination of these experiences exposed him to the digital design and pedagogical worlds, and solidified his passion for designing educational technology.
