XR Resources

Making XR Accessible to Campus

Faculty, staff, and students can reserve XR equipment, request access to licenses for XR tools, host classes at the Center for Academic Innovation using XR tech, and connect with external resources.

Reserve XR Equipment

We maintain a lending library at our office at 317 Maynard Street and have headsets and 360-degree cameras available to our university partners. U-M faculty, staff, and students can reserve this equipment for approved short-term projects.

Meta Quest

Wireless VR headset with standalone operation and immersive virtual experience capabilities.

Hololens 2

Mixed reality headset with advanced sensors for enterprise hands-free use.

360 cameras

Captures footage for immersive views in every direction simultaneously.

Access Licenses for XR Tools

The center holds commercial licenses to XR applications Uptale and Sketchfab. Connect with our team to learn about requesting access and collaborating on a future project.
