Current Roles/Previous Experience

Chiemela Mgbeahuru is an experienced producer working across digital, broadcast, and emerging media/XR technologies. At Academic Innovation, he works with the XR and Media Design team as a Virtual Production Producer, responsible for facilitating productions at the CAI’s XR Studio, as well as utilizing the studio to produce cutting-edge media

Prior to joining Academic Innovation, Chiemela worked with the British Broadcasting Corporation BBC News as a Broadcast Video Journalist/Producer, working on several impactful live and digital broadcast productions for West African audiences. He completed his Master’s education in Narrative and Emerging Media, where he gained more experience in XR storytelling and Virtual Production at The Sidney Poitier New American Film School/Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Arizona State University, California Centre.
