Tandem is a web application designed to help students work better in teams. Created in partnership with College of Engineering lecturers Laura K. Alford, Robin Fowler, and Stephanie Sheffield, this web application provides features for both student groups and instructional teams. Using regular surveys at regular intervals, Tandem offers teamwork lessons and personalized feedback for each student. These data are also shown in an actionable dashboard for instructional teams. Leveraging tailoring technology currently incorporated in digital coaching tool, ECoach, the creators hope this tool will support team-based learning by providing personalized support mechanisms for both teaching and learning.
