Project description

The aim of this project is to provide students an immersive experience in a stream environment to showcase stormwater issues in an urban environment, i.e. demonstrate the impact on stream banks, and vegetation, the physical scale of the erosion problems. Time series would also be created to show the effect of time scale on the geomorphology of a typical urban stream. Underwater footage and exercises will provide insight in the ecology and biology of the stream, as well as physical characteristics not easily obtainable such as sediment size in erosive and depositional areas.
