XR Exploration of Geologic Features in Field Excursions
Project description
The study of Earth Sciences (Geology) encompasses three primary objectives: Observation, Documentation, and Interpretation. Development of XR resources for field exploration has the potential of providing a platform that can integrate each of these essential components, components that are necessary to unravel the secrets contained within the geological rock record. Importantly, as discussed below, it offers an opportunity to students that are unable to participate in the traditional, in-person learning activities in the field.
