Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I choose to work at AI because…driven and passionate team

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Camille works closely with members across the Office of Academic Innovation (AI) team on the development and streamlining of centralized processes, workflows, and best practices. She acts as a thought-partner for teams engaged in process improvement efforts, coordinates human resources logistics, manages project intake and approval, and employs a variety of strategic internal communication tactics to drive understanding and engagement along with the promotion of a positive workplace culture. In her role she strives to create high-quality, effective processes, and operations that serve as the infrastructure to fuel the innovative work of our talented team. She believes that policies and operations should increase transparency and put mechanisms in place to empower team members at all levels to speak up, share their ideas, and experiment.

Previously in AI she served as Operations Coordinator for the Gameful Learning Lab and Digital Innovation Greenhouse within AI. In her role with the Gameful Learning Lab she provided operational support for the Gameful Learning Initiative and GradeCraft, a U-M-grown gameful grade management system, focusing specifically on strategic planning, product commercialization, the establishment of processes and best practices, account and relationship management, marketing, and customer support. Additionally, she supported the Digital Innovation Greenhouse by coordinating daily operations and providing support for projects, events, hiring, and process improvement.

Prior to joining the Academic Innovation team, Camille worked as Project Manager for the Virtual Center of Excellence (VCE), which was a non-profit funded by Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority to provide high-quality workforce development solutions to mental health professionals, healthcare organizations and the community. She leveraged a cross-functional team responsible for providing web-based and live training opportunities along with workforce management and business support tools.
