Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

This opportunity with the Center for Academic Innovation brings together my knowledge in project management and my excitement for accessible education in a unique fashion. I am inspired by the work that is being done at CAI to change the interface of academics and to provide individuals with educational opportunities they may not have had otherwise.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Clare is a Seattle native with a love for art shows, bucket list trips, french patisseries and a good cup of coffee. Her professional background spans multiple arenas- she has spent time in student affairs, residential and commercial property management and most recently was the Director of Sales at a mobile home dealership. These roles have developed her skills in effective project management and a passion for community building.

However, Clare’s first love has always been higher education. After 2020 brought a shift in lifestyle pace (and time for personal reflection), Clare decided to return to the educational space. This included a cross-country move to Michigan in 2021 to pursue an advanced degree from the Marsal Family School of Education at the University of Michigan. Michigan has provided many growth opportunities, both personally and professionally, and Clare is excited to grow roots in the Midwest.
