Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

After working in study abroad and international education for many years, I am a strong believer that transformational learning experiences can, and do, take place outside of the traditional classroom. The Center for Academic Innovation provides me the opportunity to support innovative, non-traditional learning experiences that not only promote lifelong learning, but also increase educational access around the world.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

As a Design Manager Senior, Jenni oversees the project management of CAI’s short form portfolio with a focus on Teach-Outs. She works closely with content specialists and learning and design experts to create engaging online learning experiences for learners around the world. In her prior CAI work, Jenni oversaw the development of various massive open online courses (MOOCs) and online and hybrid degree program courses, working closely with faculty members and CAI colleagues to bring their ideas for online courses to life.

Before coming to CAI, Jenni facilitated and managed study abroad programs, most recently managing the Undergraduate and MBA Semester Exchange Programs at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Prior to earning her master’s degree in International Education from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Jenni worked abroad in Madrid, Spain and Melbourne, Australia. She loves exploring and considering new perspectives, and she enjoys being able to weave this into her design management work at CAI.
