Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

When reflecting on why I choose to join the Center for Academic Innovation I think back on a quote by Edward R. Morrow: “This instrument can teach, it can illuminate: yes, and it can even inspire. But it can only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise, it is merely wires and lights in a box.” Murrow was talking about television but it translates to the technologies of today. The Center for Academic Innovation strives to make the University of Michigan’s learning experiences accessible here in Michigan and across the world providing access to learners who otherwise would not benefit from these opportunities. I am proud to be part of the Center for Academic Innovation as we illuminate minds and inspire people to reach their full potential.
