Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

With my history being primarily focused in Graphic Design, I recently got into and fell in love with UX/UI design. I find this form of design to be a satisfying blend of creative and logical thinking. I am excited to use this skill set to design and build user-friendly learning experiences for students.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

As a User Experience Designer at Academic Innovation, Macy focuses on the visual design and the front end development of AI’s learning applications. She strives to make the user’s experience an enjoyable one.

Prior to her involvement with Academic Innovation, Macy worked as a full-time designer at a software visualization company. Here, she was responsible for the UI/UX design of web applications where you could visualize the interior or exterior of your home or business with different surface areas applied. Before moving into the UI/UX role at the software company, she was previously a Graphic Designer, where she designed floor patterns to help clients visualize their desired look.

Outside of designing for work, Macy finds enjoyment in creating illustrations and icons inspired by her everyday life.
