Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

The Center for Academic Innovation has a mission to collaborate across campus and around the globe to create equitable, lifelong educational opportunities for learners everywhere, which deeply resonates with my values as a Learning Experience Designer. Working here allows me to contribute to transformative projects and initiatives that have the potential to make a real impact. It’s a place where I can design with purpose, knowing that my work helps shape more accessible, effective, and inclusive learning experiences for diverse learners everywhere.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

As a Learning Experience Designer, Weiyi partners with faculty and cross-functional teams to design high-quality online and hybrid courses that support engaging, learner-centered experiences.

Prior to joining the CAI Weiyi worked in educational technology companies and nonprofit organizations, contributing to education initiatives that bridged pedagogy, technology, and access. During her time at the University of Pennsylvania, her research centered on STEM integration, teacher education, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
