Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

I chose to work at CAI because it allow me to design for an impact. The center is focused on transforming the way we teach and learn, with a mission to make higher education more accessible and equitable. By working here, I have the opportunity to contribute to projects and initiatives that have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of learners around the world.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Prior to joining the Center for Academic Innovation as a Learning Experience Designer, Weiyi completed her master’s degree in Learning Sciences and Technologies from the University of Pennsylvania. She started her journey in online education four years ago, volunteering as an online English tutor for minority students in southwest China. Since then, she had multiple experiences working as a course operations intern or instructional designer at several EdTech companies. During her stay at Penn, she participated in research projects that focused on STEM integration, teacher education and MOOCs.
