The Generative AI Council at the Center for Academic Innovation (CAI) is looking for students to assist in the development and prototyping of machine learning and artificial intelligence based applications that aim to enhance the development of learning experiences. This project will involve exploring classification and optimization problems, developing a classifier solution for working with large quantities of video content, primarily through the use of GPU-accelerated neural networks. Knowledge of Python and key machine learning software libraries such as Tensorflow and PyTorch is required. Depending on the applicant and changing needs of the project, C++ and GPU programming skills may be necessary.
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s degree in data curation, data science, computer science, statistics, informatics, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work independently or as part of a rapidly changing, multidisciplinary, multicultural, and collaborative environment
High level of attention to detail
Experience with Python
Experience with Tensorflow or PyTorch running in a GPU-accelerated environment
Familiarity with UI design
Familiarity with data documentation
Prior projects utilizing Machine Learning with video data, Tensorflow/Pytorch with C++, or GPU/parallel programming are a plus
