Learning Experience Designer

Role: Lyndsay is a Learning Experience Designer at the Office of Academic Innovation, she works with a variety of stakeholders to craft student-centered learning experiences that are engaging, rigorous, and aligned to learning objectives. She employs various learning design models including Understanding by Design and Universal Design for Learning, while drawing on her own experiences as a classroom teacher. Lyndsay’s interests include community building in the online and residential classroom, access to education, and teacher preparation.

Experience: Prior to her arrival at AI, Lyndsay was an Instructional Designer and Educational Technologist for a small, private college. In this role she honed her learning experience design skills and applied her knowledge of educational pedagogy and technology in a higher education setting. Lyndsay began her career in a K-12 environment where she taught 5th grade. While in this role she cultivated a love for adult learning pedagogies while mentoring and coaching novice teachers. This ultimately led her to change focus and pursue opportunities in higher education.
