Build Software

Helping U-M digital education innovations grow from a simple idea to a robust application.

We use a rapid and agile software development philosophy fused with attentive and focused collaboration with faculty innovators and communities of practice. We encourage interested faculty to approach us, no matter how developed their idea or project is.

We can:

  • Help you plan major milestones to create an initial prototype
  • Conduct user research to help you understand users’ pain points and needs
  • Refine the idea to secure seed funding from various internal and/or external sources
  • Shape funding proposals
  • Build and implement a tool, if funded

Use Our Software

If you’re interested in using any of our existing software, let us know. We’d love to learn about your goals and figure out if we’re a match. Learn more about our available tools here.

Propose a Tool

Our Academic Innovation Fund (AIF) provides faculty innovators the funding and support they need to design and develop new software tools. Learn more about how to apply here.
