Why I Choose to Work at Academic Innovation

Connection is a key component to learning, and the Center for Academic Innovation is setting the standard by bringing together its expertise, research, and technology to inform and inspire learners around the globe. I was intrigued by the opportunity to support CAI’s mission by connecting instructors to the resources needed to best serve their students, as well as amplifying the groundbreaking work happening at the University of Michigan. By sharing their stories, findings, and knowledge, I hope to help CAI achieve its goal of giving every learner access to a quality education.

Current Roles/Previous Experience

Mindy’s work as a Content Specialist with the Center for Academic Innovation will focus on the center’s Online Teaching initiative, collaborating with experts to share their knowledge through developing and editing articles. Mindy will also support the Marketing & Market Strategy team as they strive to grow the awareness and impact of CAI.

Mindy kicked off her love of writing and editing as a sports reporter and then news editor for local papers in Pennsylvania and Illinois, focusing on coaching writers and enterprise journalism. She then branched off into the world of nonprofits, working for a family foundation supporting STEM education programs and advocacy, while simultaneously launching a youth sports program and freelancing for multiple organizations and causes.
