Student Opportunities

University of Michigan students can gain valuable skills and experience in XR technologies by enrolling in a free online course, earning a graduate certificate, and even working at the center helping design XR experiences.

Earn a Certificate: University of Michigan graduate students can earn an XR Graduate Certificate through the Rackham Graduate School.

Become a Student Fellow: The Center for Academic Innovation hires U-M student fellows to imagine, build, and manage XR projects, training, and our equipment program.

Take an Online Course: The XR for Everybody online course series is available free to U-M students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The series covers technology fundamentals, application development, and the evolving XR landscape.
